The price of the K-ETA South Korea visa may vary depending on the method of deposit. Here is more information on the different prices for the K-ETA South Korea.

The South Korean authorities have set the price of the K-ETA licence at 10,000 won (7 €), the currency of the South Korean community. However, before obtaining the authorisation in question, there are various procedures to follow and various authorisations that need to be granted. This being the case, a lack or poor compliance of the supporting documents for the procedure leads to a substantial increase in the price of the application, which may have to be re-submitted several times. This may be due to the requirements introduced by the various States following the COVID-19 crisis, or for many other reasons.

From May 2021, the immigration authorities in South Korea have introduced the K-ETA travel authorisation system. In an experimental phase, this electronic system was accessible from around 21 countries. This phase ended on 31 August 2021. At that time, K-ETA authorisations could be obtained as follows free of charge and also optional for all travellers from the 21 countries concerned, including Albania, Andorra, Barbados, Dominica, the United States, Guam, Guyana, Ireland, Malta, Mexico and Monaco. The other countries are New Caledonia, Nicaragua, Palau, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, San Marino, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, the Vatican and Venezuela.

From September 2021, the acquisition of the K-ETA authorisation will become compulsory. fee-paying and compulsory for nationals of the 21 countries concerned. It also extends to 28 other European countries under the short-stay visa exemption scheme. A price has been set for obtaining the K-ETA.

K-ETA was free during the experimental phase*.
