In fact, the South Korean authorities require absolutely nothing in the way of displaying this pass. As a result, you can print it out or simply save it on your smartphone<\/strong>. If you prefer the latter option, you will need to ensure that you present the generated QR code<\/strong>. However, you can also play it safe by applying both options. By doing so, you will be protected from any inconvenience in the event of loss.<\/p>\n

In accordance with South Korean government requirements, this authorisation must be completed from your country of departure. It is therefore not possible to postpone this requirement until you arrive. The K-ETA visa must be downloaded ideally 72 hours before your trip. What's more, it must be presented to Korean customs at the same time as your passport.<\/p>\n

K-ETA visa eligibility criteria<\/h2>\n

In reality, the new travel authorisation is not available to all countries. Only 112 countries are exempt from the South Korean visa requirement and can benefit from the K-ETA authorisation. These include countries in the European Union and the Schengen area. The reason for the stay is also crucial for the issue of this document. It can only be obtained for short stays, family reunions or unpaid business meetings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

How do I obtain a K-ETA?<\/h2>\n

Like all official documents, you need to submit an application to obtain authorisation to travel to South Korea. However, this application is not as complicated as a standard visa application. All you need is your Valid passport<\/strong> andan approved passport photo<\/strong>. Next, you will need to download the application form <\/strong>then fill it in as succinctly as possible.<\/p>\n

Firstly, you will need to provide details of your identity, as shown on your passport. Next, you will need to provide your personal details. This includes your telephone number, e-mail address and home address. In addition to this information, you will need to provide details of your trip. In particular, you will need to give the name and address of your hotel and the reason for your stay. You should also mention the number of people accompanying you. You will also need to indicate whether you have been to South Korea before.<\/p>\n

Cost and time required to obtain the K-ETA<\/h2>\n

If you are planning to apply for a K-ETA, you should be aware that it is by no means free. You will need to pay the sum of 7 €<\/span> per request, excluding intermediary service fee<\/strong>. Since the procedure is entirely electronic, this money will be used mainly to process your application. Please also note that this application fee is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the procedure. Although it is quite rare, some applications are in fact rejected.<\/p>\n

Please note that the processing time is extremely short. You will receive your reply within a maximum period of 72 hours<\/strong>. Please note that this period takes into account any additional documents that may be required. On the other hand, your entry permit is valid for stays of up to 3 months (for French nationals), for 2 years. However, you will need to update your visa if the purpose of your stay changes.
